Review of Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996) by Rosie F — 06 Feb 2017
There were so many different timelines that were being flashed back and forth it totally confused the heck outta me and ruined the atmosphere for the timeline I was currently on.
The present was where the excitement was at, the past was where the knowledge was at and the future was a quick display of the box and cenobites destruction.
The movie needed to focus on the present day and THEN worry about shining the torch occassionally on the past and then the future to make it less complicated.
When I watched it focusing ONLY on an individual timeline I found the film quite passable.
Not spectacular of course, but the flash to the past and the engaging actors made it worthwhile.
You could see that it was a rushed job and that some scenes just didn't sync up right, but it was good.
Each incarnation of Paul Lemerchant was a strong lead role and Pinhead featured many a time which was spectacular and his new cenobites were also impressive (The Twins).
Give it a go - I think it was worthwhile.
