Review of Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996) by Richard D — 22 Nov 2016
In the future, a scientist who is the descendant of the man who built the Lament Configuration attempts to correct the mistake and permanently seal the portal to the Cenobites's realm. The film tells the story of three generations of his family and their attempts to stop the Cenobites.
This film is not as bad as it's reputation would suggest (a reputation partly gained by the film's Alan Smithee director credit). It's certainly not a great "Hellraiser" film, but it's a serviceable one that deserves a lot of points for ambition, and a few points for almost pulling it off.
