Review of Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996) by John M — 01 Mar 2014
When a film series has no more original ideas they resort to doing remakes or sending the series to outer space. Leprechaun has been in space, Jason Voorhees has been in space, even the brave little toaster has been in space! If you didn't guess it yet Hellraiser 4: Bloodline also takes place in outer space.
But the back story kind of makes up for this and the fact that this film is not just a sequel but its also a prequel providing some very vital information. I enjoyed some of the new Cenobites and Pinhead is great as always.
I also enjoyed the Chatter Dog. Sorry for the spoiler but I'm glad Pinhead and the Lament Configuration puzzle box are finally destroyed once and for all. Sure there are sequels but since Bloodline takes place in the future we can assume that parts five through eight (and soon to be a nine) take place before Pinhead and the puzzle box are destroyed.
Fans of the series will mostly enjoy this one.
