Review of Heart of Glass (1976) by Tommi A — 11 May 2008
Wikipedia claims the actors were under hypnosis during production of this film and freestyled most of their dialog. I however, as a considerable authority of German art house cinematography, can inform you that this is not the case.
The truth is that while enroute to the shooting location of the film, Werner Herzog in fact lost the script for the movie! Being the creative type, he decied not to panic and solved the situation by having the catering service feed the cast space cakes all throughout filming and shoot the film as a reality TV-show about stoned Austrian actors.
Now this is how real art is made! Don't believe me? See for yourself!
