Review of Heart of Glass (1976) by Harpreet S — 31 Jul 2011
This is an odd film armed with some nice visuals and some off the wall ramblings and goings on. I have read that the actors were under hypnosis for much of the filming so perhaps that would explain it.
There is one scene in which a sofa is delivered to the house of one of the characters. On its arrival he states his delight with this 'letter' as he refers to it. He then fetches a letter opener and begins to slit the sofa cusion open then attempts to decipher the 'message' within, which is actually foam! There is also a long scene of glass cutting and plenty of enlongated landscape shots.
It all makes for a fairly unique experience and although it is mildly perplexing it is absurd enough to be enjoyable.
