Review of Gunfight at the O.K. Corral (1957) by Manuel M — 24 Jul 2008
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. It was so difficult to get into the wooden pacing of this film. The majority of the shots are long, as if you were watching it on a stage. The two saving graces are Lancaster and Douglas.
They are both full of life and intensity. I much prefer Anthony Mann's take on the old west with Jimmy Stewart as the conflicted man.
