Review of Gunfight at the O.K. Corral (1957) by Matt M — 30 Mar 2013
Most probably the best out of all the Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday on screen representations, this one takes inspiration from the true event of their encounter in the big gunfight at O.K. Corral with outlaws.
The film is filled with testosterone, and a fast pace that would go on to influence many other films of the action genre in general. Director John Sturges can also count on some great performances by the great cast, not only with Lancaster and Douglas as the leads, but also a supporting cast with big names, such as Dennis Hopper, Lee van Cleef and Jack Elam.
