Review of Good (2008) by Robert H — 28 Dec 2010
Some plays should stay on stage and not transition to film.
This is one. Really plods along with the old question, "What would you do to help your Jewish buddy?" Viggo does little until it's too late and his guilt sends him on a dangerous mission to 'help' post facto.
A mundane German writer happens to get elevated into the capacity of a high ranking SS officer...kind of a head scratcher. Oh, and he has delusions under stress, off everybody singing Opera or w/e.
Really good sets, props, wardrobe, etc but...the movie is kind of stiff and goes nowhere.
Worth a rent I guess?
