This is David Fincher at his most artistically recalcitrant, but also self-indulgent. Obviously, this movie was a thrilling experience, but I was surprised by how much venom it recieved. Feminists and teenyboppers alike labeled it as "misogynistic" when that wasn't even the case.
It wasn't telling you not to trust women; it was telling you not to trust women like Amy Dunne! Her character was exaggerated for the sake of entertainment, but trust me... her type exists!
