Review of Get Carter (1971) by Gregory S — 18 May 2008
The story is simple and throws you straight into Carter's world, as he travels up to Newcastle to avenge the death of his brother. A fabulous 60s soundtrack by Roy Budd accompanies Michael Caine in his finest role as the ice cool womaniser gangster whose trail of justified violence is interspersed with witty dialogue throughout.
