Review of Get Carter (1971) by Late R — 22 Jul 2017
This is a raw, uncompromising revenge film and it sucks me in every time. Caine is riveting as Carter; the least rotten apple in a very rotten pile, and every bit as focused as the story. Ian Hendry also stands out as a great foil.
Cool, stylish, and at times a little trippy, it's another reason why the 70s was such a glorious decade for film.
