Review of Gangster No. 1 (2000) by Jon Y — 03 May 2008
Bettany and Macdowell are excellent as the scheming psycopath at the heart of this film, offering the chilling reality on the flipside of Lock Stock's mockney bad boys.
I've always loved Thewlis and he's great here as the gangster who is more human than monster, in a world where the monster is king, though a king with no kingdom.
