Review of From Here to Eternity (1953) by Soraya ~ — 12 Jul 2009
This is a real classic that I somehow had missed until now, and I wasn't disappointed. The acting is brillant, especially Burt Lancaster but also Montgomery Clift and Frank Sinatra, who shows he was a really good actor as well as a crooner.
The Hawaii setting just before Pearl Harbour works well, but it is really the characters that make the movie good.
