Review of Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991) by Joe K — 16 Oct 2009
Its only somewhat bearable because of the good second half of the movie. The three delinquent guys were terrible actors, especially Shon Greenblatt. After they are taken care of, we are treated to some excellent flashbacks as Freddy as a child and before he was burned.
The Wizard of Oz homage and video game scene were just plain awful. Cringe worthy silliness that is not scary, and it doesn't help that Freddy breaks the fourth wall several times and seems like a comedian.
About as good as the second movie, and that movie sucked.
