Review of Fermat's Room (2007) by Matt C — 20 Jan 2010
I have a tendency to enjoy movies from espana, they usually have a nice balance of intelligence but with a bit of novella like hyperdramatism. This is a typical who dun it mystery, with a non-gorey Saw like twist.
Group of strangers meet to have an intellectual discussion set up by an unknown host, but then find themselves in a struggle for survival as the walls start closing in unless they continue to solve logic puzzles.
Like alot of these movies you find out that the characters all have some kind of connection with each other. Its not a bad movie, the acting and writing is fair. I was only annoyed because no one attempted to get out of the room by breaking through the ceiling or floor.
