Review of Fermat's Room (2007) by Adam E — 10 Jul 2010
Much like cube and exam before it this is a movie where the figuring out of the problem is more interesting than the end result. With exam the end is fantastic and cube more so. The problem with this film is that the ending is just not that much fun.
Theres not as much time spent trying to figure out why there are there as there is doing the sums the mystery man keeps sending. When all is revolved its more of a whimper than a bang and the ending does not hit you hard like it should, in fact its quite disapointing.
But its entertaining for the time thats itson and the idea is more fun than the actual movie. Maybe if you are a maths fan it is more engaging but for a none maths fan its just an average viewing experince!
