Review of Elephant (2015) by Trent J — 02 Jan 2010
The camera is the observer, and never has that been more true than in Elephant. No sweeping point made, no explanations, no conclusion. This is senseless, and in that context, this film is appropriate.
To go any further with these characters would be arrogant at best. It also raises questions on narrative theory - the identity and purpose of protagonists, for one. But that's something that will require more time to properly address.
