Review of Dreams (1990) by Alex V — 19 May 2008
Absolutely ravishing film from start to finish. A collection of 8 separate stories, two of which were directed by famed "Godzilla" film director and Akira Kurosawa's close friend Ishiro Honda.
Such great short films--"Tunnel", "Mount Fuji in Red", being my favorites, coincidentally also Honda's--but "Blizzard" and "Lake Town" at the end by Kurosawa were also remarkable.
The colors are vibrant, the cinematography astounding, and the messages the "dreams" and "nightmares" carry are very significant. I loved it.
