I’ve seen some terrible adaptations before, but this is the first time I’ve ever legitimately felt like something was truly a betrayal of its source material. Add in a nonsense plot with a bog standard macguffin, some regrettably terrible child acting, and more than one instance of horribly integrated CGI, and you couldn’t pay me enough to sit through this again.
