Review of Dreams (1990) by Dulz C — 27 Aug 2007
Without a doubt, this is Kurosawa's most visually stunning work, and well worth seeing on that account alone. However, it is also an amazingly thoughtful and contemplative work. Some may find it boring, but I think it's wonderful to watch a film by a director who clearly knew he didn't have to prove anything to anyone.
The sheer sense of Kurosawa's freedom as one watches this is inspiring.
