Review of Dixie Chicks: Shut Up and Sing (2006) by Carl W — 05 Oct 2007
Very well put-together documentary in "direct cinema" style (no conspicuous narrator), with a possibly contrived circular touch to the final scene. Very favourable picture of the Dixie Chicks which actually encouraged me to go out and listen to their music - I have to say their later departures from Country and Western, encouraged by the ridiculous and hysterical reaction to their having slagged off GW Bush, were rather a lot better than their earlier stuff.
This film didn't exactly instill in me a desire to visit the USA.
