Review of Crooklyn (1994) by Dorian P — 16 May 2011
All things considered, this may not be Lee's most annotative film, but it's his most endearing. It's fresh to see a black family in the 70's without falling back on a predictable story and rehashed characters.
Lee doesn't attempt to tell you anything specific, but this story of a 9 year old spunky girl living her life in a house full of brothers, definitely speaks to you. The soundtrack is great, as well.
