Watching CINEMA PARADISO is feels like watching two completely diferrent movies.one is a masterpiece,and one is a sappy soap opera.the masterpiece part is come from the first half.i understand now why this movie is beloved by so many.
This is a movie specially made for cinema(movie)lovers.Tornatore really create a perfect homage of cinema through the story of a young boy who befriended a cinema projectionist. it is in this part when this movie has all greatness.
But after the first half,here comes the sappy soap opera part.with a repetitive score and tears that looks like happen in every 5 minutes.,fortunately,Tornatore did save the best for last,as,after its second half downer,the film has an ending of a lifetime.
,that perfectly fits the emotion that has been captured in the first half,so the end result is still a great motion picture.
