Review of Cinema Paradiso (1988) by Tim M — 26 Nov 2016
'Cinema Paradiso' is a thoroughly engaging film about possibilities, missed opportunities, and the love of a man for the child he never had. If that's not enough for you to watch then view it for the performance of Philippe Noiret.
Noiret plays the de facto father of Salvatore a young boy who lost his dad in the war. Their relationship is the heart of a film that has one of the best scores ever penned. It's a classic. If you're going to watch a foreign language film, this is the one.
Final Score: 9.8 of 10.
