Review of Fiddler on the Roof (1971) by Maria B — 12 May 2010
I personally felt like this movie was complete and utter garbage. The director gets a boring concept (a Jewish man's traditions are challenged) and tries to set the story into song (which, with the exception of one song, utterly fails).
This movie is seriously overrated, and sometimes I believe this only receives good ratings based on "bandwagoning." Obviously I know that this is ignorant on my part, but I find it ridiculous that so many people like a movie that, as its title states, needs to be thrown off of a roof.
I'll give it one star for the ONE good song.
