Review of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958) by Leighton T — 18 Jun 2011
Tennessee Williams again done brilliantly on screen. The energy and electricity emanates from every scene, especially towards the end with the three way conversation between Taylor, Newman and Ives. Both leads performance are perfect, but it's Burl Ives as Big Daddy who just blows you away.
It drips with Southern sweat, liquor and melodrama.
