Review of Captain Blood (1935) by Arlene S — 14 Feb 2007
Peter Blood transforms from good doctor to pirate king by way of slavery's bondage. Highlighted by equisite sword play and sexually charged banter this film ranks as the second best after Robin Hood between the charismatic triangle of Errol Flynn, Olivia deHavilland and Basil Rathbone.
