Review of Captain Blood (1935) by Bill T — 21 May 2014
Classic storytelling from Michael Curtiz about a slave who escapes capture and becomes a pirate! Yar! Errol Flynn is great here, and despite a few story gaps (Basil Rathbone is somewhat wasted and the whole "Don't go to Jamaica!" storyline is quite quizzical due to the payoff), this was immensely easy to follow and immensely entertaining to boot.
