Launched Flynn's and De Havilland's careers, Errol plays the unvanquished Dr. (later pirate captain) Blood and is captivating and enthralling. He steals every scene except a couple with his soon to be frequent costar Olivia.
This ranks at or near the top of the pirate genre list of films.
