Review of Cabaret (1981) by Nat G — 29 Jan 2010
I find musicals very hit and miss, I love some and hate others, I'm not sure on this one, I liked half of the film and the other half I got bored with. I must say though that the production is very strong, it's a very well made film and very classy.
The plot made me cringe a few times and it's not really my cup of tea, but the acting is very good, and I found myself falling in love with Liza Minnelli, she is the main star, her singing, acting and moves are top class.
I understand why it won a lot of awards, but it's not my favourite musical.
