Review of Short Cuts (1993) by Nat G — 25 Aug 2010
What a cast, everyone in this film is almost an A-list film star, and what a film. At first I was confused not knowing anything about this film, but soon started to understand all the different stories and how they intertwine together.
There is no real ending to this film, and although it's a world away from the television show Big Brother it reminded me of it. This film is great if your nosey, it's like looking behind the curtains of every house down the road, we get to see a sneak peek of many lives.
The director is very clever at mixing the different stories together, and you'll laugh, be shocked and cry throughout the film. I'm not sure if this film is a masterpiece, but it is very thought provoking, and it's a nice study of human life.
Do be warned though this film does go on forever, and you really need to concentrate.
