Review of The Queen (2006) by Nat G — 14 Mar 2010
I don't really know what to make of this film, but I'm glad I have watched it as it does make you think. First I think they have done a good job of trying to make it look as authentic as possible.
The sets look fantastic and the acting is extremely good, and they manage to capture the characteristics very well. I guess because the Queen is still alive and we see and know her so well that it is hard to imagine what she is like this behind closed doors, and how true is this story? I guess this sort of thing went on behind the scenes, but I kept thinking that "that wouldn't happen' etc.
It is a nice piece of work though and I do appreciate why it has won lots of awards, I will give it another go, and don't get me wrong I did enjoy the film.
