Review of Battle for Haditha (2007) by Elgan D — 10 Aug 2009

Nick Broomfield brings all his documentary making skills to the table for this based on a true story war film creating an edge of realism that makes the story all the more shocking. Much of the acting is first class, making it easy to forget that you are watching a reconstruction not a documentary.

There seems to be still no definitive answer as to what happened in Haditha and much of the charges have been dropped, but if this movie is accurate then it was the scene of multiple murders of unarmed civillians.
