Review of The Steel Claw (1961) by Michael W — 28 Feb 2013
American soldier leads deadly mission into Phillippines to rescue US General held captive by Japanese during WWII. Clearly these Filipino rebels only needed a little American know-how and direction in order to succeed.
Quite honestly, film would have worked just as well with a two-handed Captain leading the mission--although it would deprive the audience of amusing story of how he lost his hand in a drunken misadventure rather than in combat.
