Review of Autumn Sonata (1978) by Gustav G — 21 Sep 2013
This is what happens when living (at the time of making) legends meet. Bergman directing Bergman.
Ingmar shows he knows better than anyone else how to write women characters. Ingrid gives a performance not matched either before nor since. Here she shows that this is Ingrid's world, the rest of us are just living in it. In awe!
