Review of Adam's Rib (1949) by Bass 9 — 24 Sep 2008
I guess comedy films back in the old days were usually about the battle of the sexes, and of course, back then unfortunately men were the ones who always won the battle. Although I am not a fan of the ending where Spencer Tracy deceives his wife and pulls off a crying act, I like the film overall.
Katharine Hepburn has the amazing role of a capable, witty and intelligent lawyer at a time when actresses frequently portrayed secretaries, femme fatales, and housewives.
