Review of Adam's Rib (1949) by Andy C — 13 May 2012
My only problem is that Hepburn's character seems to think that letting one person get away with a stupid crime makes up for men getting away with their poor behavior. The double standard exists, but the solution is not in letting both sides get away with equal amounts of infidelity, rather holding men more accountable for their stupid actions.
When Tracy exposes her hypocrisy, however, it's pretty damn funny (but still doesn't fully address the issue.) So it's a fun movie, but certainly not perfect.
