Review of A Face in the Crowd (1957) by Eric M — 05 Dec 2008
While relevant in many areas, the film shows its age in the outrage expressed for Rhodes' "guffaw." A quaint conceit. (See: Reagan's sound check, every US President since the outbreak of the 24-hour news cycle) Still, it's satisfying to see Griffith play a role closer to his true character.
