Review of A Boy and His Dog (1975) by Jason P — 19 Apr 2011
Not bad, but suffers from being a seventies film. I've read this story adapted as a graphic novel and liked it better. A talking dog is hard to pull off in film in anything but a comedy. The underground society was just absurd, and that whole segment lacked sophistication.
What was with the clown makeup? Ridiculous. What the face makeup was meant to convey could have definitely been expressed in other ways. This was a 3 1/2 star film for me before the underground society scenes.
