It gets 2 stars for the fact that any sci-fi fan must watch it, so the person will know how bad it can be. It's not because of the whole "Sean Connery running around in a diaper" thing. It's just really bad.
A lot of sci-fi gets the philosophy on without sucking this bad, so try watching *those* movies instead. Hell, bad 50's sci-fi is a lot less patronizing about its philosophy than this.
Also: this story was old when chicken got wings. Failed utopia? Do you realise the word utopia comes from a book about a failed utopia that a guy wrote in the VIII century, right?
