Review of Zardoz (1974) by Alex B — 11 Jul 2015
It's more Platonist and/or Nietzschean than Marxist (and more Maoist than Marxist), more petty-bourgeois than working-class. But it's also more interesting than perhaps nine-tenths of all other sci-fi/fantasy movies.
It's almost or sort of a critique of imperialism/colonialism. And at least it gleefully shows (most of) the ruling class getting massacred. Compare it with Storm Over Asia.
