Woody Allen is on very familiar ground with "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger", a little too familiar of ground. That is a benefit in one regard since he knows what he is doing. But, he also plays it too safe in the attempt to place his New York styled comedy about relationships in Great Britain.
Using his usual wit and offbeat humor, the film follows a varied group of people in London as they try and sort out their love lifes.
The film is not bad, but it also feels a little too old hat. Allen has been much more daring with many of his other recent outings. Somehow this seems like a bit of a step backwards.
