Review of You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (2010) by Huw G — 01 Sep 2013
Unfortunate? Great cast, but I believe it was poorly executed. There's something the film has to say in it --a reflection of an approach in life many take, an escape into illusion. In the end, the way the story is presented is just too dull it becomes uninteresting and unremarkable.
I think he's explored similar ideas better in many other of his fims: Off the top of my head, at least Hannah and Her Sisters, The Purple Rose of Cairo, and Midnight in Paris.
