XXx: Return of Xander Cage is a dumb action movie. The cast was fine in the movie. The performances were mostly over the top, which is expected. Vin Diesel is fine as the hero, but he isn't spectacular.
The movie has some cool action scenes, especially when they involve Donnie Yen. But the movie sometimes takes itself too seriously with the plot. This should've just been an over the top B-action movie.
It already has over the top performances and some pretty bad dialogue. But it only succeeds in moments. There is just too much filler. By the end, the action gets repetitive and generic. Overall, this movie didn't provide the dumb fun I was hoping for.
While it has some of that, there just isn't enough. I hope Vin Diesel doesn't decide to make another one.
