Review of Wuthering Heights (1992) by Elizabeth W — 10 Jun 2007
Binoche and Fiennes here embody everything great about classical acting, the ability to utterly cast off modernity and step entirely into the world of Emily Bronte. A sweeping, devastating heartbreak of a film, Wuthering Heights manages to capture the essence of the book while maintaining the fluidity neccessary to hold an audience.
The beginning will suck you in: "I cannot live without my life. I cannot live without my soul.".
