Review of Woodstock (1970) by Jay J — 13 Aug 2007
Perhaps in addition to Easy Rider, this is one of the greatest slices of youth cultre in the late 60s. The more I expose myself to media from that era, the more I realize that there were actually very few "hippies," just a ton of young people looking to have fun on their free time.
One could argue that it's no different today. All in all, I loved the music, enjoyed the numerous crowd shots, and was pleased by the interviews of workers and townspeople. I just wish more people would go group skinny dipping.
Of course, I do live in the midwest...
