Review of Woodstock (1970) by Russell G — 02 Aug 2009
Just watched the near 4 hour Directors cut, and fuck me did it feel long at times! Do we need 20 minutes of montage before seeing a performer? The catch 22 with this is, the music and performances are pretty fantastic.
Why "Ten Years After" didn't become huge stars, I don't know. so it's well worth a watch for that. The yang is, those god damn hippies rattling on with their peace and love bullshit drives me up the fucking wall! I understand that this is a documentary of the event as opposed to a concert film, but seriously.
.. people stoned out of their minds should not be allowed anywhere near a microphone!
