Review of Wolf Creek 2 (2013) by Cade H — 20 Jul 2015
The first Wolf Creek was a horrendous movie. I am not sure why I even decided to watch the sequel but I am glad I did. Unlike the original, Wolf Creek 2 doesn't take long to get to the action. It focuses on the menacing series killer Mick Taylor and his treatment of foreigners visiting the good ol Outback.
He is like a mean and twisted, yet still kind of fun Crocodile Dundee. The film keeps a good pace and I liked how almost every death and chase/kill scene was slightly different. Some of the actors overdid it a little and got annoying but they never lasted long anyway.
This was gruesome and sick and if you have seen any of the Hostel movies, you can expect some similar scenes. The last part of the film was very thrilling and although I would of liked a better ending, it was enjoyable enough overall to overlook that.
If you like dark, yet not to serious serial killer movies, Wolf Creek 2 surprises with a strong main character and interesting scenes.
