Review of Winter Light (1963) by Mark H — 17 May 2008
The second part of the "Silence of God" trilogy focuses on a priest who is having a crisis of faith and is beginning to doubt the existence of God. The film is honest and thematically dense, and offers Ingmar Bergman a wonderful opportunity to exorcise his spiritual demons while allowing the audience to deal with the very same issues.
