Review of Winter Light (1963) by Ryan H — 03 Aug 2009
There are a lot of brilliant questions in the film without providing many answers other than providing hope. It's interesting that the movie wraps up without much resolution. There is still a lot of despair and coldness by the end of the movie, yet it still works.
The biggest problem the movie suffers is that Bergman seems to put in a few shots that are not needed simply to make the film longer.
